February News - Whaleshark at Verde Island
We have had a very good diving month this febuary, dive groups coming from Korea, Hong kong and around asia, with new open water divers completing their courses here, advance divers also, and all enjoying some fantastic dives.
With Water temperatures now at 27 degree, soon heading for the summer months when temperatures will get to 30 degree, All divers have some fantastic memories, at the CORAL COVE zone we have had a visiting THRESHER SHARK, many times WHITE TIP REEF SHARKS at SHARK CAVE and on some of the deeper dive zones. On a dive to ODDIES DING DING a swerling EAGLE RAY, also seen at MARCUS CAVE TO SWEETLIPS CORNER. drifting on the wall at 35m.
At VERDE ISLAND drop off, a momentary pleasure of seeing a 7m WHALE SHARK passing overhead, an opportunity to see as the verde channel is a migrating route for the whaleshark on their travells to Donsol. A lot of happy divers, and a lot of last night celebrations !!
Congratulations - New PADI divers at SOJ Dive Resort
Congratulations to all our course divers, January brought more than 40 new divers to SOJ divers, with open water divers certificated from around the world.
From China, Michael and Edward [ow & aow], Johnathon and Tommy from Sweden [ow & aow], Colin from USA [ow], a comunity of friends from Korea, 18 new open water divers, Mr.Moon from Korea completed EFR and rescue diver, Mr. Lim from HK [ow], Jeannie from HK [aow] and more discover scuba divers enjoying the world under water.
